Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is a psychological method that helps people quickly process and heal from the emotional distress that lodges in their minds and bodies following a traumatic experience. Repeated studies show that by using Therapeutic EMDR, trauma survivors can experience benefits that once took years in more traditional forms of therapy. EMDR has been recognized as an evidence-based model by the World Health Organization.
